Event Details
Mashable and Social Media Club present the Social Media Week San Francisco Closing Party, sponsored by Bing.
Join us as we support Social Media for Social Good and raise a glass (and money) for NetSquared to expand its support of non-profits using Web 2.0 and social media tools and methodologies.
Mashable, Social Media Club and all of
the participants, organizers and sponsors from our week of Social
Media events will come together, network and do a little social good in the process. With over 1,000 people participating in various events
across San Francisco during Social Media Week, this party is the perfect way to end an action packed five days.
Individual tickets are on sale for $20 in advance ($30 at the door), and includes two (2) drink tickets. A cash bar will also be available. $10 from each ticket will be donated to NetSquared so they can continue to do their great work educating other non-profits in how to leverage social media technology.
You may also add a donation
for any amount you choose to give on top of the regular ticket price,
as well (separate transaction).
RSVP POLICY
This is a ticketed event and all sales are final.
About Social Media Week and Social Media Club
Social Media Club is a Not for Profit
Member organization (501c6 status pending) organized for the purpose
of promoting media literacy, sharing lessons learned, creating a path
to professionalism for media makers, promoting industry standards and
discussing important questions of Social Media’s impact on society.
As the world’s largest group of Social Media professionals, Social
Media Club represents a new breed of associations for the post Web 2.0
world.
Social Media Club’s mantra is “If you get it, share it.”
Social Media Club is a proud partner of the 2nd Social Media Week, produced
by Toby Daniels in New York City for the first time last year. Expanding
from NYC to 6 cities around the world in 2010, San Francisco joins London,
Toronto, Berlin, Sao Paolo and New York as hubs for a wide range of
Social Media events from simple tweetups, to conferences, to camps,
to panels, to networking and everything in between.
Social Media Week is not a single event, insomuch as it is a focused
co-promoted group of events produced by different organizations, companies
and individuals in each of the cities. In our role as lead organizer
for San Francisco’s events, we are primarily responsible for coordinating
resources, distributing up to date information, assisting those who
wish to produce their own events and focusing the lens of the media
on all the events happening locally and globally. We all benefit together
by increasing the buzz around Social Media Week, and raising the profile
of the industry and organizations such as yours who are supporting our
community
